Hi simed2,

I hope the RestartBT app helps you a little. Remember that if you reboot the phone, you'll have to start the app again. You can see how many times the app has found bluetooth turned off, and turned it on again, by checking the file 'restartbt.txt' in the top directory of your internal storage. You'll see that it writes a record of the date and time every time it turns bluetooth on.

This Xperia bug is very frustrating - I hope there is a fix soon.

Regards,

Malcolm

Bluetooth always turn itself off.
I,normally connect with Garmin watch at all times. This strange behavior happens after latest update to Aneroid 7. I must restart phone to get back in normal, but, not last for long. The Bluethooth turn off itself.

Anyone got same issue?
How to solve this problem?

Yes, I have the same problem.

Until we get a proper fix from Sony or Google, I wrote a small app to check Bluetooth at a fixed interval (by default every 10 mins, can be changed). If Bluetooth is off, my app turns it back on.

Let me know if you want to use it.

I'm experiencing same problem with Z5 Compact and 32.3.A.0.378. I have Huawei Watch and I really want it to be connected all the time.

I have made software repair with Xperia Companion and adjusted all settings that I think might be related to battery optimisation and bluetooth connection.

Still my phone turns bluetooth off many times a day. I have noticed that only situations that bluetooth keeps on are when there is some ongoing activity with phone and watch, for example SportTracker workout active, or Sleep-as-Android monitoring.

I have enabled developer options in the watch and set it to vibrate always when it loses connection to phone so that I can set BT on again

I have tried Auto Bluetooth app from Solar Wooden Robot but it does not work. I'd like to try another app that set BT on automatically.

.

In my phone, Bluetooth is working fine.
No need to turn on Bluetooth every time.
Do these things-
First soft reset your phone..then try.
If problem still persists then i would suggest repair your phone's software using Xperia Companion.
If your problem get solved.
Give kudos and accept as solution ☺

Hi Folks,

Im having similar problem. I turn phone off at night to charge it & in the morning when i switch phone on the Bluetooth has turned itself off. I notice this when phone wont conect to carkit. Once i turn bluetooth on it connects no problem. Its not a phone - carkit issue, its the bluetooth switching itself off. The carkit is already added as trusted bluetooth device.

I have tried a few fixes, clearing cache, doing network settings reset, full factory reset but nothing helps.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Tony
