topic Hardware problems - any solution? in X Series

Hi,

Hoping someone can help.

For a while been getting hardware problems on Xperia X. Started with the fingerprint sensor not working, then the back camera failed, before the phone then started doing a pixellated screen and turning itself off every five minutes.

I've done a factory reset and a software repair, and whilst they've helped resolve the turning off issue (it now happens every hour or so rather than five minutes so not perfect) the fingerprint and camera remain broke.

As such I suspect this is hardware related, and I doubt I personally can do anything to fix.

So what should I do - who would be best placed to fix a hardware problem - a Sony shop or someone else?, and what's guess at cost? (as if too much I'll live with it)

I'm also 18m into a 24 m contract - would a hardware problem be a reasonable one for saying can I exit contract and take a new one with the network on a new phone?

Thanks - appreciate any help and guidance on any point

Hi @martinlee

Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear about this

First of all, in relation to repairs I would advise contacting your Local support as they would be best equipped to assist with this and should be able to refer you to a service centre to have the repairs carried out.

In relation to your contract, contact your service provider that you hold the contract with. They will be able to assist you with that.

Good luck
