Split screen is a Nougat feature.

To view two apps at the same time

Open an app.
Touch and hold the Recent apps key .
Two screens appear. The bottom screen lists recent apps.
On the bottom screen, select a second app.

Note! Not all apps support the split screen view.

To exit split screen view

Touch and hold the bar between the screens.
Drag the bar to the top or bottom.
