Any heating issue with non-stock Camera Apps?

I have seen several posts and videos now that describe the issues with this device warming up enough to fry an egg (sometimes in few seconds - takes more time for a frying pan to heat up) and would like to know if anyone had same issues if they used a non-stock camera app, like Open Camera or Camera FV-5?

Perhaps it is how the device is trying to post process the images/video that needs to be tuned down and 3rd party apps like OpenCamera don't provide the same experience?

Other cam programes .It will not help u . Camera will shut down anyway

Hi potential buyer.

It does heat up, yes it does, but exageration is another issue around this device.

Mine did stall a few times in the 15 months I have it, mostly being exposed to direct sunlight for a while.

It helps a lot NOT to film on 60fps or even use HD instead of full HD

Your viewers won't see the difference anyway.

The Xperia X generally speaking is a reasonably priced, reliable workhorse nowadays.

Of course there are more options like Moto G5Plus and others.

Don't forget Samsung A3 2017 which will fall in price as soon as the new model arrives.
