Sony xperia x turns on, on its own

Hi. Only have the phone for a few months to find, maybe 4 times, that when I put it to charge over night and I turn it off, I wake up with my phone on and the green light on, even when the cable has been unplugged. Not so long I had the problem that it kept crashing so my phone has been restarted, rebooted maybe at least 3 times (bare in mind that it's less than 6 months old this phone) which now I dong have that problem but I've got this one.

Any suggestions?

What other post? The other post with the exact same problem has no replies. The post linked to in the response is in regards about a phone crashing, which is obviously not the problem.

After the last update, the phone will turn itself back on again after it is fully charged. From my observations, only while plugged in and shortly after the battery reaches 100% will the phone turn itself back on again. The phone will NOT ask for the SIM/bootloader pin code, it will boot straight away.

So far three people have the same issue after the last update.

Even the crashing problem I had it only stopped by setting up the phone like new. Well at least I'm a bit more relieved that I'm not going crazy and turning it on my own while sleeping or something. Do you know if there's a way to fix this? I've noticed that someone has the opposite problem, charging on and turning off on its own, quite afraid if that happens to me and my partner getting a call why I'm not at work in the morning xD

Mine does the same thing since a recent Sony software upgrade. From what I can tell I charge mine over night when it is turned off and it powers on when 100% charged. If I do not charge it remains off. This therefore seems to be unwanted behaviour introduced by a software update.

I have the exact same problem! Nice to know there are more people with a phone starting on its own.
I think is very strange it even skips the SIM code!

Been reading this thread, exact same problem here with a brand new Sony Xperia X, only happened after I finished all the updates which mind you took a couple of hours..

Yea same issue here. It started after the last update a bit over 2 weeks ago. (Current version on the Xperia x right now) . Even noticed my Bluetooth turning off randomly, but it turning back on is bad. It bypasses entering a pin on boot up if your phone is encrypted and goes straight to the lock screen. Where can we report bugs in firmware updates?!

Double tap still works. Got the November update this morning and did a test. Turned it off and charged it up at my desk at work. 1 min after 100% it booted up and skipped the pin screen before fully booting up (encrypted). I need to try downgrading to September's update. This is bad. Sony bug fix please. Idk what's happening or what messed up. Chargers don't matter either.
