I had bought Xperia x as usual I always buy any new Sony phone

But it didn't get my expectations from Sony!?

First of all..

1- the screen: I compare with z3 and z5 screens, z3 is much better, sharper, brighter, and more details!! The x screen yellowish, the white color is yellow not like Z3 not even like z5 (z3 is the best in sharpness and brightest)

2- Small apps where it's gone?!!! Small app is very useful I use alot for translation ( you should try it very useful) and calculations and many stuff

3-4k recording is gone?!

4- and some features like slow talk and others.

5- dual Sims?! I have to choose between SD or Sim card?!!

6- battery capacity, WIN few mm doesn't make different for me,but overall battery performance is great but you can make greater if you put more battery capacity

7- heating problem.

What we expect From Sony:

1- screen :make it like Z3 with little improvements, you can try to make Quad HD for marketing ( stupid people think quad HD is better but actually you can't see the different in phone screen but it maybe good for VR)

2- option to make the color natural like S7 options but S7 not natural at all even if you choose natural color due Amloed screen thing! You see every thing black even Grey color you see it black!!(color option is useful when you buy online like clothes or anything else to choose the right color)

3-multi windows, spilt screen

4- speakers is good but should louder like rivals.

5- dual camera for wider picture

Ps. Hope from Sony to improve, I bought all Sony phone and Sony Ericsson before until stopped with z3 I want to change it but I didn't find a better one just little improvements in camera which I can use some app instead that can improve the picture quality that's why I didn't change it

My question is Xperia preformance has similar screen as Xperia x or not ?!? Are you going to put back small app in future update?

Good luck Sony!

1. Screen
I find the display of X to be magnificent, much more vivid than any other display, you'll find the white balance is more neutral compared with previous Z phones because they tended to be bluer and cooler. X Is much more true whiter than before, you can adjust of course using the white balance tool in settings, display.

2. Small apps
Unfortunately these are gone in X and I agree it's annoying, but not many people used the feature so I guess Sony trimmed the fat

3. 4k recording.
Yes, gone. But to be fair, that was well known from the day of announcement.

4. Slow talk etc
More fat trimming.

5. Dual sim options
Not got dual so can not relate.

6. Battery
Yes it's small but yes it's a beast

7. Heat.
I find mine runs quite cool tbh

@VIRIDIS
About the screen, I compare z3 with Xperia X in front of 2 of the sellers, they both agreed that z3 is much better, they supposed to marketing for their device (x), because it's very obvious, he said he said I lie to you if I said The x is better!! About the bluish in z3 you can fix it by increasing the green little bit in the white balance, I think you didn't compare z3 with Xperia X with high quality video?!!
About the trimmings fat!! one second or maybe less faster not worth it!?

Its not about 1 second here or there.
Its another always on background service that not that many use.
About the screen, I disagree and I've had Z3, (and Z,1,2,5) I believe the X display is the brightest and most vivid of them all.

Seems You missed Your homework before buying X.

Still a lot bloatware is included, but this is good thing, that Sony finally is starting exclude these self-made Sony stupid apps and be more native Android. If You need some extras, then go and get some from Google Play.

Screen and battery are great. Dual SIM phones have double memory, so no worries at all, use external storage, if You need more space. Seems You never have a phone with a real heating problem, as X does not heat at all. 4K recording - c'mon, it's a phone, get a camera for that.

I have to disagree about the X does not heat at all. I have the dual Sim version and live in equator part of the earth. The temperature on idle is already at 41-42 Celsius. When the screen is on and doing light task like messaging for about ten minutes, the back cover start to get warm which I never experienced with my aged Xperia M. The Xperia M temperature at idle is only 28-30 Celsius.

And as for the battery, I'm a bit disappointed too. With my very light usage like reading messages, reading RSS news for a bit, no call, no browsing, no streaming, no video, with one sim at max signal but WiFi always on, I get only 2 days battery life at max. While my aged Xperia M with already weak 2 and half years old battery at the same usage scenario can survive 4 days straight without charging.

I mostly did everything on PC, so my smartphone only act as an overkill messaging tool and notifications receiver.
