Xperia compact release in Canada?

Hi,

I really like smaller sized phones and have been a Sony user ever since I started having a mobile phone. The compacts are being released in so many other parts of the world but not Canada. Is there a reason why?

I am looking to get a Xperia X compact but unable to locate it anywhere. I dislike the larger ones partly due to my smaller hand size and how easy it is to store it away.

I have asked the support staff but they say that none of the compact models are going to be released here in Canada and I wonder why not?

Is there a way I can petition for it to be brought in?

Welcome to the community,

I agree with @uliwooly contacting your network carrier and expressing interest in a product is the best option, the more interest in a product, the more likely a network carrier are to stock an item.

Hi @Oceanid

You can get a Sony Xperia X Compact from JP Mobiles which they sell through BestBuy and Amazon as a Thirdpart seller and they have good deals especially this time of the year! The only cheapest Xperia X Compact they have is Mist Blue. The other colors are more expensive.
That is the only way to get the Xperia X Compact or any other types of Sony Xperia Compact device as many of the operator in Canada doesn't have compact version!

PS: I got one from them and it is working with the finger scanner(I guessed I got international or Europeversion), which it's rare find in North America as they disable scanner for N. America market!

FYI - I'm not working for JP Mobiles, I just wanted to help if you are still interested getting X Compact
