Hi @AaLF!

I agree with the previous posters and as @pseudonym mentioned, you have the Battery care feature available in the Xperia X Compact. Below is some more information about this feature and some additional information.

Battery Care is a feature that increases the battery lifespan. It automatically detects when you leave your device fully charged for a long time, and adapts the charging speed during that period to reduce the battery wear. The feature will start a regular charging cycle that temporarily stops when the battery level has reached 90%. The feature will then resume charging 70 minutes before user data indicates that the battery is expected to be fully charged, and charge until the battery level has reached 100%. Keep in mind that for this feature/technology to work fully, you will need to charge your device as set patterns, for example only when you sleep.

You also have the Qnovo adaptive charging technology available which reduces charging stress by measuring battery health and using that information to adjust the charging current.

I hope that explains a bit more!

Browsing other posts here I see that re-charging often is better than draining battery then fully recharging.

How about recharging via wall adaptor vs. USB (PC) trickle charging?

Doesn't matter or is one more "kind" to the battery than the other?

Battery life is best preserved by not topping it up fully as well as not draining it fully.

Let's say stay within 10%-90% borders.

Check the internet to read all kind of information about it.

I agree with @Strampke. Also, a good rule of thumb is to fast charge only when you need to. Otherwise, a slow charge, say between 1 and 2.4 A, is best for the battery. Xperia phones also have a battery care mode, which you should definitely have active.
