slow motion videos require much stronger lighting than regular shots because of very fast shutter speed. also from what I read, XZ Premium records 960 fps slow-mo videos in 720p, which, while isn't really "very bad", can differ noticeably from videos shot in 1080p or 4K.

Outside lighting is the best, electrical lighting tends to pulse as the fps is faster than the electrical pulse.

Yes that is normal.

This 960fps produces laughable results in every other that perfect lighting conditions. In perfect sun lightning still it will look regular at its best especially on big 65" screen (in terms of quality because slowness effect is very good).

The quality wise it looks so crappy in most of the conditions due to prehistoric 720p low-res combined with abnormal zoom and noise which makes results even worse and shaky if you capture it from hand.

4K is much better.

For the time being I recommend to avoid 720p mode to avoid disappointment. XZ Premium seems to cone with half-baked beta solution, hopefully we will see 960/1000fps mode in 1080p soon at MWC in Barcelona without this abnormal zoom and noise issues. The point is it should be implemented like this from the very beginning.
