Android 10 issues

Updated my xperia XZ2 compact today, and the phone has now got several serious issues. Cannot complete calls (not hearing me on the other end). Cannot take screen shots. Camera not working. Several apps just closes after a few seconds (ie Gmail).

Sony support not available in any channels! Completely incompetent.

Only thing I have found is:
Have to reboot between almost every phone calls - else they can¨t hear me..
Fingerprint-reader react really bad, sometimes I have to turn the screen on before it work.
And the top-bar are white (used to be black)

(Reset... hope not.. It will not be fun with all the apps with a lot of security )

I have some of these issues too!

Most importantly:
Other party cannot hear me well, works better if on speaker.

Whatsapp voice messages - I have to yell in order to record anything that is bearly heard.

Another issue is that now the audio when you begin to record a video for example in Whatsapp (That beep) is very loud, it is according to the media volume setting and not as it was before the notification.

AFTER FACTORY RESET, the xz2 compact has the following issues:

* Touch issues - touching the screen lightly does nothing. I have the actually tap it... This makes writing a pain, as hard to reach keys do not always register

* Backlight auto adjustment issues - now it's very aggressive and basically stupid. I'm sitting in home, in the evening, almost without moving, definetly in the same spot and the backlight just jumps around in big increments

* Lag and shutter in daily usage - a restart solves this for a couple of hours...

* apps are now often reloaded - memory manager is too agresive and kills background apps

* GPS NOT WORKING. It was flawless before update 😔

* build-in swiftKey keyboard does NOT remember how and where you type IF you change the keyboard layout /position (compact, split, side, etc...). This essentially makes it useless

XZ2 here.. turn off "hardware accelerated tethering" in developer mode options and check if all problems still exists..

Same here.

After the update the same problems......the software feels 'heavy'....everything is going slow. I also have problems with Android car; from Black screen to no communication.

Seems like this did wonders. Much better. Still nog good, lot of bugs but the slow response and freezing improved drastically.

Could anyone help me where to find this "hardware accelerated tethering" in my settings ? I have xperia xz2 and terible issues after updating to android 10 . My gps don't work as it should , phone working very slowly and constantly I have an icon of google actualisation. It shows up between my normal menu icons... beforw I had 3 of them... now it's one. Also I can't use two gps games at a time like pokemon go and Harry Potter. before it was working as it should

Then you can see the developer options. Go to settings/system/advanced options
