Bad video sound recording

Hi.

Please can anyone help?

I have a Xperia XZ3, when video recording live band music, the recording sound levels are up and down. It's almost like it has a sound auto system working. Can this be changed or switched off?

It's ruining all live band video recordings and it's getting very frustrating.

I bought this phone because of the good reviews on its ability to produce good video!

"I would highly recommend getting a third-party app, as the apps that come with the phone are pretty basic. Important things to look for in an app are the ability to: 1) adjust gain levels; 2) change sampling rates; 3) display the recording levels on the screen, so you can make any adjustments necessary; and, perhaps not as important, 4) save the files to multiple formats (at least .wav and .mp3)."

You'll need to merge sounds and vision afterwards.

In my opinion a smartphone is perfect for snapshots as well as for video in average life situations.

In situations where you need really good quality you should use a unit designed for those situations.

You can't race with a family car, can you?

Some yrs ago I had a Sony Xperia S. That had 3 recording volume settings. It also never gave me the problems I have now. OK, the video was notas good as the ZX3, but the sound was good.
