you could dissable the notfications by going to the particluar apps settings

I don't even have the apps on my 'phone anymore! Yet Sony push updates. Thst CAN'T be right.

Booking.com is one which if you delete, comes back as an update. So best to keep it and block it. This was forced on XZ1 COMPACT with the android 9 update - Sony should not be pushing apps you haven't called for. There's a news feed, a weather feed... to name just two more. I've sorted them my own way. It's a shame that Sony, which used to have as close to stock android; is now adding things for financial gain. Booking.com in particular ARE STILL USING SHARP BUSINESS PRACTICES EVEN AFTER BEING WARNED ABOUT IT. SONY SHOULD NOT FAVOUR COMPANY APPS YOU HAVEN'T CHOSEN. 💥
