Hi everyone,

I cant access my device after updating, my usual unlock pattern is stated as 'incorrect pattern'. And i have to unlock the pattern to get all data and features. Already tried restarting the phone several times, phone call and press back, google find your devices, but nothing seems to work. I don't want to lose my data, anybody knows what to do?

Do a factory reset via Xperia Companion. REset the device. Its always recommended to reset after major android update. x.x -> x+1.x

Not sure what you guys are doing or what apps you have installed - I upgraded my Xz1 Compact to Pie OTA, did reboot and since then the device works like a charm. No bugs, longer battery time - 3+ days instead of 2.5 before, super performance, quicker boot time. Thanks a lot Sony for making this great update avail to us!

It's a joke !! Called them up straight away after I finally did this update I'd been putting off for weeks as everything you've said above is correct and not something you should have to make do with when it's seriously affecting you being able to use your smart phone properly !!! They asked me to email in screenshots of things I'd said were impossible to work with , email gets bounced back and no care from customer service. Come on Sony a fix is required asap , here's proof I'm not the only one , it's obviously everyone with this model !!!
