Not quite - it takes you to a menu that requires an additional stage to a menu for existing connections

It is a minimum 2 extra steps to select the bluetooth connect required

Remember previously from swiping down you could effectivly choose the connection required from that point with no new screen

At the very least they should show available connections on the 1st menu after the long press but even that is an extra and un-neccessary step.

My XZ2 has updated to Andriod 9 - Pie

My instant gripe is with the drop down menu when you swipe from the top.

The bluetooth icon no longer has the additional pull down menu to select which bluetooth connection you want to select - if the phone doesn't auto connect I now have to unlock the phone, go into settings menu - then connections menu and then a further new menu of 'existing connections'

Very long winded pain in the backside

Not an improvement

It is an improvement:smileycool:.

Here is how:

If you just press and release the Bluetooth icon, you toggle bluetooth on/off.

If you press and hold the Bluetooth icon for a sec ,you'll jump direct into the menu that you are used to.

This goes for all the icons on the pull down menu.

Changes are often painful.:smileycool:

Currently I have a bluetooth headset and a smartwatch connected:

When I press the Bluetooth-icon for a sec from startscreen, it shows me Device connections with available media devices, currently connected and previosuly connected units.

Also pair new device is there on the same page.

It works pretty well.

I totally agree with Zanderred. Before the update there weren't any extra steps, it was a simple drop down to select previous Bluetooth devices. Now they've taken something that was as easy as they could make it and make it longer. My update only came yesterday 20/2/19 and so it looks like the update I got is an old one they've tried out on people already and they decided to stick with it. Don't make sense to me, bring back the drop down, I'm getting tired of accidently turning off my Bluetooth trying to press for the drop down Haha.
