I've used Sony a couple of years and am fond of the quick three choices on "Do not disturb" pull down menu. Those seems to have been removed in Xz3 and I need to enter a page in configuration. Are they planed to be added again?

You're right.

In Oreo it was easier.

However when you tap the settings 'wheel' you can enjoy more options.

I think the developers of Pie tried to perfect the design and on their way up forgot to think of average users like you and me.

This very often happens in software development.

Most seen as I know it is the text on parking meter screens: push button for card payment.

People searching for buttons are pushing everything the can; the machine has a few buttons that can be pressed.

The developers forgot

a) to create a visible button on the screen instead of a maestro sign.

b) to display text saying: push the button on the screen.

a) these kind of developers are too smart to step down from their own knowledge toward normal human beings.

b) they develop for a touch screen on a normal computer instead of developing it on touch screen computer.

Back to the do not disturb settings

They forgot that normal people want a one touch choice and haven't got an attention span to go through all kind of settings.

You step into a meeting and want to silence your phone at once and without delay. Nothing more, nothing less.

Forgot to mention:

Once there was this perfect app that helped users commute, abroad, gaming, focus et cetera

The name? Xperia Assist.
