High battery drain

Hi everyone, how long your XZ1 C lasts? I can barely end a day with a single charge, most of the time being under wifi connection. I don't use social media, only Instagram, i have 3 mail accounts with hourly updates, and telegram and WhatsApp.

Hey there,

I'm able to use my phone a day and a half during week days. And I manage to get through the weekend without a single charge.

WiFi, BT GPS... All is turned on always... Maybe you have a third party app draining your battery?

Maybe you should check your advanced battery settings and see which app is the most power demanding?

Well i checked and i only see android os and system, the other apps have a very low % .

I update the post:

Saturday I repaired the phone (2nd time in less than 1 month) and configured it as new, without Telegram, mail, Instagram (I don't use Facebook or Twitter), no games (I don't play games) and disabled some Google Apps, Sony Apps and Meteo App.

Yesterday I did more than 8 hours of SOT in 26 hours, I was under wifi at home (i was sick). Today i charged it and at 12:30 (Italy hour) it reached 100%. Now at 17:07 I'm at 85% with 1h 32m of sot in 4h 48m of use. I've used mostly 4G with Whatsapp and Chrome navigation (webmail (outlook, yahoo) and other websites). I've used wifi a bit and i've noticed a higher battery consumption, switching to mobile data reduced it.

The pictures above are of today, 38% with some Spotify music, web navigation, webmail, some calls and Whatsapp.

I also have disabled the following apps disabled appsdisabled apps pt2disabled apps pt3

I wonder why sony preinstalls Amazon's, Facebook's bloatware and also Spotify too. (note: i have disable spotify later in the morning as I have disabled my premium account.)

Also I have noticed that the SOT time is not matching the sum of the apps, bug maybe? During the night i lost 5% over nearly 7 hours of sleep with wifi off, mobile data off and set in 2G, I think it's a bit too much.

I think 5% battery drain in standby mode for 7 hours is more than reasonable. This would equate to 140 hours total if it stayed at that consumption (or pretty much 6 days).

My older G6 with Snapdragon 821 had a lower battery drain during night and it has a less efficient chip (14nm).

These are from today, but I've used WiFi more, 2, 2.5 hours and I've used also WhatsApp from web, it seems that WiFi drain is a bit higher than I expected.

The G6 has a higher capacity battery so you're not comparing apples with apples. Regardless, 6 days standby is still more than respectful, that was my point.

I think I figured out what kills the battery, it's either Telegram o the mobile signal.

Alexhdkn, you may be right about a poor mobile signal. I have a good 4G signal where I live and my overnight battery consumption is 2%.

I don't have Telegram and most of the Apps that I don't use everyday are Force Stopped until I need to use them. I don't have Stamina Mode or Data Saver enabled either.

I also have the June update (.205) and my battery consumption has not changed since installing it.

Now I have used this phone for 15 minutes listening to music with Spotify with the BT of my car with 3G in background and sent some messages con telegram and that's all.
