The phone when placed on any hard surface (and some that is not such a a leather sofa arm) goes on walkabout.

When placed facedown with the screen OFF. the phone placed on the slightest of angles, moves on its own. Bedside table, plugged in on Do not Disturb. Put it down and it's away all on its own and sometimes when it's facing screen upwards.

This has NEVER been seen before. Yes I get electrostatic conductivity may be the issue but it's not acceptable. I can't see the screen or back lasting 5 minutes as it will/does fall. I'm just waiting for the tiled floor experience .... ! You dare only put it down so it never lies flat on its face, I.e. Half off and on a coaster, napkin. It is driving me nuts.

My phone is not the only one, a friend who has the same phone same problem. We have races across the table. It really looks like someone is pushing them along.

Any ideas People or even Sony?

Why not just by a brick and put it in a nice case= same phone. £millions are spent on the design. It would be nice if Sony got it right.

Yes it's slippy to hold

Yes its heavy which means if your right handed and support it with your little finger then you block the microphone

Yes the on off switch should be indented as it's easy to accidentally cut off a call

Yes the scanner is too low, which creates a 2 part movement to open the phone

Back to the question why does it travel across the table on its own?
