Keyboard randomly closes

Hello,

My device is XZ Premium and it worked perfectly until around last week. The problem is shown as below:

Keyboard: Swiftkey and Xperia Keyboard

Issues: Automatically closes itself

It happens when:

1. When opening an app (e.g. Open chrome and click search bar the keyboard appears and closes again.)

2. When switching between apps (e.g. Watching Youtube and quick switch to Messenger and click message bar, keyboard appears and closes again.)

Further information: This issue will not happen if I wait for several seconds (e.g. after quick switch to Messenger from Youtube, if I dont tap message bar directly. After waiting for 2-3 second and then tap the message bar, the keyboard will works normally.) However, for some app which keyboard will appear in the first place (e.g. some dictionary app) the keyboard will appear automatically and closes again.

My phone is been working perfectly before and Im super annoyed because of this issue. Looking forward for reply and thank you if anyone have any clue what if going on.

P.S. I have tried to clean the keyboard data and restart the phone which does not solve the issue.

@Souren_while Swiftkey is the default keyboard, it's still a third party app. you should probably report the issues you're experiencing directly to Swiftkey support so they can look into it.

Hey man I think I kind of found the method to solve this.

Change your keyboard onto xperia keyboard then go to Apps and uninstall the Swiftkey keyboard then reboot your phone. It works for me somehow but I dont know how long will it last tho.
