I've had this problem before with a previous Sony experia compact. Now I've got xz1, it's 2 months old and suddenly when you try to make a call the screen goes black, not letting you end the call or do anything else!!! I thought this was due to my previous phone being a but old, but this one is definitely new. Can anyone help?

@Sofia6do you use a screen protector? it could be that it covers proximity sensor, which disables the screen during the call when you're holding your phone pressed against your cheek. if the sensor is covered by the screen protector, the phone thinks it's constantly being pressed against your face so it keeps the screen disabled during the call.
