Disabling OK google detection seems to have fixed the problem. It hasn't crashed once since I disabled it 2 days ago although you would expect such a big part of the programme to work with no issues. Very disappointed so far with this device and I've always loved the Xperia line.

Hi everyone... My first ever time on any forum. Having major problems with my new (2nd) xz1. The biggest problem is when I'm using any Google feature especially the voice type in messaging. The phone will just freeze and I need to reset the phone about 10 to 15 times power day. My o2 store day they can't help without my receipt which I have lost. I hope someone can help. Thanks

Thank you very much for your reply. The safe mode seems to have solved the problem but the problem now is how do I determine which app may have been causing the issue? All my apps are (what I thought were) trusted apps?

I'm having similar issues with the poor xz1 OS. Sorry but that's my current experience across 2 handsets. Running in safemode isn't anykind of solution, full reset and only running out of the box apps causes crashes. Poor show Sony.

The same thing does seem to be working for me. Uptime is just over 24 hours! Woo hoo. Now if Sony can just figure out how to fix it properly, that would be great.
