topic Regular error message in XZ Series

Hi, this is probably more of a generic android question.

Starting a few days ago, my XZs shows a regular (every few minutes) error at the bottom of the screen (toast) stating “Can’t retrieve data from server. Check your internet connection”

Checking any app needing an internert connection (e.g. a browser) show internet working fine using either wifi or 4G.

Is there a way to find out what app or process is sending that error message?

I’ve tried to force quit various apps like email, but the messages continue.

Thanks

@Webalistik

You can try restarting your phone into safe mode, this will disable all installed 3rd party apps. If the problem is resolved then one of your installed apps is causing this issue and you have to figure out which one. Start by uninstalling those apps you installed recently.

Thanks, I’ll have a go at safe mode.

I haven’t installed anything new in weeks. So if it’s an app, it must be some new behaviour introduced in an update.
