topic Transfer of photos from Alpha 99 II to XZ Premium under Android 8 in XZ Series

I bought my XZP in October 2017 and the transfer of files from my Alpha 99II worked fine untill about a month ago. Research revealed that the app Play Memories Mobile doesn't support Android 8. But it did. Possibly because of the app going from 6.1 to 6.1.1 but even a chatsession with Sony NL wasn't able to confirm that and they don't have a download for 6.1 to test that hypothesis.

A friends Sonyphone on Android 7 works this function flawless so there is no problem on the side of the A99II.

Now this is very annoying as Sony only states that this issue is known and being dealt with in time on a future update. How vague can one be. We are talking about two companies flagships that can't connect anymore because of a poor performed installation strategy of Android 8.

On an email to the support branch "Info-pmm@jp.sony.com" I didn't even get a reply.

So... anyone to confirm my issue? Sony?
