Notification dots not working

I just got the xz1 but Im getting something wrong about the notification dots. I have them enabled, I see them on each app but when I long hold on them I only get App info and Uninstall. I don't see the actual notifications. Any ideas?

Welcome to the community and i wish you a Happy New Year!

As far as i know, notification dots only work to let you know you have notifications. To see , you will need to open the app.

That's strage. I've seen videos of other brands of phones that open the actual notification, right there abouve the app's icon.

Probably something due to Xperia Home support. I´ll try to get more info on this!

@EWGFus3r the notification thing is specific to the launcher. for example, Pixel Launcher, Action Launcher and Nova Launcher support displaying notifications in the little pop-ups when you long press the icon (and the video you've seen most likely showed one of those), but Xperia Home unfortunately does not. still, you can try either Action or Nova Launcher if you want to try out that feature.
