Phone hanging up call if second caller calls during a call

Since a few days I got the oreo update.

After this I recognized tha sometimes calles were interrupted.

Today I found out the reason: If I am in a call and somebody tries to call me the phone interrups the first call with no message and doesn´t signal the second call.

I can´t initiate conference calls because if I dial the second participant phone hangs up the first line.

Can some of you prove that?

Im registered with T-Mobile in germany.

This might seem like a dumb suggestion but do check with your carrier/network as sometimes they have to enable this feature on their end

Uliwooly you are right. Knocking (Anklopfen in german) has to be enabled. And it is. And even if it isn´t enabled: Phone shouldn´t hang up first call if somone tries to call me during first call.

That makes the phone unusable because I´m often in this situation .

I recognized the problem days ago when I was calling with a customer and the call was interrupted for three times. My wife told me later that she tried to call me thre times.

Today I tested it out and it is reproduceable. Works every time I try it.

Doesn´t happen with my XZs and my old Z5.

I will stop using the phone this week if there is no fix.

Open the Phone app > menu > settings > calls > Additional settings > Call waiting > is it enabled?

of course call waiting is enabled, but it has absolute nothing to do with the problem.

I think you didn´t realize the problem.

If i am in a call the phone "hangs up" this call if somebody tries to call me. I don´t see anything on the screen that somebody tries to call me.

Thats the problem!
