IvI' avoided updating my xperia xz premium to oreo because all I read about are just ono problem after another but the up date icon appears in the notice bar and I cannot seem to get rid is there a way to get rid as I'd rather not update because of all the problems

Even tho this forum is full of one-time-posters that creates multiple discussions on the same topic trying to create more attention that way, remember that most users do not have any issues with both the XZ-Premium nor the Oreo-update.:smileysmileywink:

Hi @swith,

There is no way to permanently remove this notification/icon, you can however disable it temporarily if you go to Settings > Apps > tap the three dots in the top right corner > Show system. Find and tap on "Software update" > Storage > Clear data.
