No HD movies in facebook

When in the facebook app, movies are not played in HD.

In the movie we can go to setting, there we see that the settings for

movie quality are 'play automatic best quality'

But its not...

--->>> Sony Belgium has said that they will put this problem in a central system,

so if there are more phone's that have this problem they will look at it....

Hi @Montunemesis, welcome to the community. Is facebook the only app that is affected? Do other apps play in HD?

I've the same problem with the facebook app on XZ1C - on reddit, twitter and instagram I haven't seen this problem yet. Even if the phone is connected with a Wifi the movies won't be played in HD.

When it comes to third party applications it is usually up to the developers of the application to correct. I recommend you contact them for assistance.

That said, I can provide you with some basic troubleshooting.

Start by resetting the app. To do this please go to Settings > Apps > Facebook > Storage > Clear Data.
If this does not help, re-install the app.

we already did this, but it did not work...

Facebook does not react to my mail...

So lets wait for facebook!.... *sigh*

Lets look to blurry facebookmovies with my 4K phone...

Don't know for sure...

A couple off days ago i received the update for andorid 8 Orero, but there was still no hd in played facebook movies.

I turn off the facebook app, and then back on, and the app get's an update, but still no HD movies.

A few days later i did the same, and hello HD facebook movies...
