No, UCH-20 is not a quick charger. Its output is 5V/1500mA.

Sony UCH20 is not quick charger. I got Sony UCH12W which is quick charger 3.0 in the box.

I also received a UCH20, which is NOT a Quick Charger! I bought a seperate Blitzwolf one.

Different regions/vendors receive different contents.

Some got the UCH12 quickcharge 3 adapter

While others got the UCH20 standard adapter.

As other users have stated, the UCH20 is a regular charger that does not support Qualcomm Quick charge 2.0 or 3.0.

The Xperia XZ Premium supports both Qualcomm Quick charge 2.0 and 3.0 and since you are looking for a charger that supports Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0, I'd recommend that you take a look at the UCH12W charger.

If you are interested in the box content of the Xperia XZ Premium in your market/region, please get in touch with your Local support team as this may vary between regions/markets!

I bought Anker Q.C 3.0 wall plug and my xz premium dont quick charge my phone, now I am waiting for Aukey Quick Charge 3.0 Smart USB Wall Charger to test my phone with Sony type-c cable.

We buy sony premium phones with all the bells and whistles and yet we get a mediocre charger which not compatible with fast charging features. Sony gets to choose which regions gets the fast charger. While other areas suffer the snail speed charging despite paying prices. WHAT'S UP, SONY?

The box content varies between markets and retailers, so it will be hard for me to give you an exact answer as to why a quick charger is not included together with your device in your market, therefor I would recommend that you get in touch with your Local support team for further information.

We all know what the answer's gonna be. I just cannot believe how Sony so blatantly hoodwinks us thru their advertisements of quick charging capabilities of their products without mentioning the need of a special charger in order to enjoy that function.

I'm sorry you feel that way.

I had a look at the Global Sony Mobile site and checked the specification page for the Xperia XZ Premium and it does states that it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and there is also a number next to it that leads down to the disclaimer where it says "Quick Charger UCH12W required".

As I wrote in my previous reply, to find out about the box content in your market, please get in touch with the Local support team as the box content varies between retailers and markets.

I also have UCH20 charger in the box, if I buy a new charger (UCH12) and still use original cable in the box, will my device can use QC 3.0?

I think so. USB C cables are compliant with quick-charging power rates, so you need to only change your charger.

Yes, in the Sony site does say that. But in the physical and actual ads, in handouts, in banners and even in the box, Sony was quiet on this. Anyway, how many prospective customers even care to research on-line what they're buying. C'mon Sony admit you deliberately withheld information from the public

I'm sorry for the late reply, I have been out of office due to vacation.

Which device are using at the moment? There is a cable included together with the charger as far as I know in the Nordic market where I'm situated at least, but you may want to double check with your Local support team if this also applies to your market.

Please let me know which device you have and I'll do my best to find some more information for you!

It will depend on the phone model. The UCH12W charger is compatible with the cable included with the Xperia XZ Premium, which is the board where this post is located in our support forum and to add to this, as I wrote in my previous reply to @KienTran, there is as far as I know a cable included with the charger that you can use to quick charge your device.

You're welcome. I am using XZ Premium Red Gosso, I bought from a retailer and I come from VietNam. The charger included in the box is UCH20 model. I think my market is not support this situation but I still happy to use this charger. Thank you for your support.
