Whatsapp Voice messaging breaks up

When I receive voice messages and I play it up it works fine until I leave or open another app simultaneously then the voice's breaking up... Like a lost signal in radio... My phone is Sony Xperia xz. My previous phone works well though never had this problem till I change my phone. Any suggestions?

@Mr_Acid it's a third party app, so you should contact Whatsapp support and let them know about the issue.

Are you listening to the voice message then opening another app at the same time, as far as i am aware it will stop playing as soon as you open another app? I cant play voice messages then load another app whilst the voice message is still playing. Whatsapp doesnt allow this
