Secondary microphone records static

Hello,

a week after I reseted my phone the secondary microphone started recording static sound permanently. Every time I restart my phone I get the notification to set the mic sensitivity. Calling works fine, but when I record video or audio I just get a static noise. Here's a example video, at the fifth second I begin to tap the mic https://my.mixtape.moe/wwwxce.mp4

Is there something software related that I can do or should I contact the support? (And if I have to, would this issue be covered by the warranty?

Hi @Crex, welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear about this.

Can you please test it under Settings > About Phone > Diagnostics > Test > Microphone. Does it have the same static in here?

Hi,

I've done the test in safe mode, same result. Also I've tried a factory reset, still static from the mic.

@Crex it sounds like a hardware issue then, so you might want to contact your Local support and arrange a repair with them.
