When you insert new SD Card into it it is not encrypted by default. If you wanna encrypt it just go Lock screen & Security - Encrypt SD Card.

I encrypted my SD Card and wanted to transfer some files to Internal Memory and there was a surprise when enabling "Enable Write Access" at FX Explorer (it was the same at Total Commander, OI File Explorer and so on). I had to decrypt SD Card and to make Factory reset to get working! When are you going to fix it, please?

Also, my Internal memory is encrypted, for the first 4 times it asked me for a PIN code after reboot but now it doesn't ask for it.

you should try going to Settings > Security > Screen lock and set up your preferred method of securing the device again. the phone should then ask you whether you want to use the same method on boot. I know that some third party apps that rely on Accessibility service tend to disable boot protection when they're set up.

You were right, **bleep** Tasker Thank you.

may I ask how did you encrypt the SD card? I don't have the XZP so I'm not sure if the option is there by default or if it requires some ADB trickery to access.

At first I couldn't make the connection to the encryption of the sd card. But retrospectively, I think that this was probably the root of all my problems in regard to the thread Reboot after network change with sd card inserted on Xperia XZ.

I really don't want to reproduce this, as a factory reset would be neceessary to get the phone working again with such a non-working sd card.
