Hello, I just received a new firmware which conrains the August 2017 security patch, may I know the other changes made?

There are no any other changes made, hence no release notes.
Only security patch.

Wrong, there are no official release notes or changelogs sent out with updates by Sony, but this does not mean there are no changes happened. Test your phone for a few days or wait for other users to report their findings.

But why is Sony always insisting on the 1st day patch (August 1 for example) instead of 5th day patch(August 5)

The question is : Why is Sony not providing release note with every update ? Isn't that unprofessional ?

Actually many companies ditch change logs in recent years not only Sony - seldom do you get more then:

"various bug fixes and performance enhancements"

I still would like to know what the fix since the do fix stuff and not only just "copy past".

I agree, this is unprofessional.
Besides, I did not see completely any changes since device was released, the volume seems to be placebo as it is still the same for me.
Actually, until they will state opposite and provide release notes that can be proved I assume these is nothing new or there are no any fixes as per my experience I was not impacted by such.

The issue that automatic dnd did not disengage automatically was fixed with the X.90 patch and I think one other issue I can't recall.

I did not really hear any difference but I use headphones most of the time and had no problems previously.

Where can one find what is being updated in sony's system updates ?
