Why not to buy xperia xz premium

Hello guys, hope you're all doing well, I will get in to the topic directly.

When I first bought the new xperia xz premium I wae very excited to own the new phone. No one can neglect the fact that this new phone has powerful hardware. Keep in mind the only issue I have discovered in hardware for now is the lack for two led lights or at least one powerful led light.

But if you care for the software side, and you hate third-party products, then I guess you can keep reading this.

If you look for gow hard did sony worked on the software you will realise that the phone is not worthy for the payment you set to buy it.

The software is not that awesome as I expected. And also the support when I use to submit my feedback to them.

The new phone misses these features:

Note app

Recorder app

System icons are limited

Ringtones and notification are like a cheap Chinese pad or phone

You can't control navigation keys in the bottom of the screen

No whatsapp badge counter

No multiple windows available

No calendar widget

And the keyboad cant be controlled by removing the next word prediction bar

And moreover the emojies in the keyboard are like couagilated eggs

I dont know if anyone is facing other issues in here, i haven't took my time to test the phone entirely, but I have to say that my experience with my previous LG G3 was better than this phone.

isn't Google Keep app installed by default? perhaps it's been put into Google folder

what do you mean by that?

have you tried long pressing the recent apps button?
No calendar widget
if the phone comes with Google Calendar installed (and I assume it does), then it comes with a calendar widget, too.
And moreover the emojies in the keyboard are like couagilated eggs
that sounds like stock Android emoji blobs. it's a matter of taste. some people don't like them, other (including myself) do.
basically, it seems to me that you're missing some features from LG skin. Sony software has been made much lighter with fewer bells and whistles since several phone generations, I assume in order to push the updates faster.

Hi @BobZM, nice to see you reach out to the forum. Together we have the possibility to learn more and I think @najodleglejszy had some good ideas for you to look into. Please ask again if you have more specific questions, for example: you add widgets to the Sony Home screen by long pressing the background.

Android is interesting in the way it has a common ground, but allows each brand to have a slightly different "personality". Coming from one brand to another, and even an older phone to a newer of the same brand, one will likely benefit from having an open mind to take in the changes: Asking rather than questioning, evaluating rather than assuming. If after the evaluation you still say that some software solution or idea doesn't feel right, the openness Android has makes it highly likely that you can find an app that works for you. At the same time you may find Xperia specific features that you didn't know you missed before.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say "you hate third-party products" because for me Android by design welcomes third-party apps as a strength. Can you elaborate your view?

Also, I'd be happy to learn what made you pick up the Xperia XZ Premium to begin with if you want to share. Was it the CPU specs or something more that made you pick it out from the crowd?

Regarding the Calender It was missing until yesterday when I updated the last version. I guess I missed this one

But regarding the other points

I used to contact support yesterday with online chat. And they didn't seem they really care or willing to answer your questions. It took couple of minutes for message to turn from delivered status to seen.

What I mean with third-party products is that we all like when an original application come with the phone

Some apps may cause later problems with your phone performance. For example it's not hard to install Evernote but it's even better to get note by Sony

Regarding recorder i do use sony recorder but why the phone didn't even come with a one

Regarding the keyboard. Sony used to have their own keyboards in previous devices, why did they change that now. Some people do like changes. And other like the original ones. I can for example set tones from zedge. But how proud would it be to use a beautiful xperia tone, other than the one in here

Is when you drop down the menu to turn wifi or data... Etc
