gallery problem

hi all,

i have an xperia arc s. when ever i take a photo, it is never saved. in gallery it always show a broken icon saying loading ... and never loads.

any help please?

Hi, I would suggest deleting those broken icons and reboot phone. The other thing to do is to remove and re-insert SD Card (just make sure those contact points are clean).

I have experienced this issue before and therefore understand what you have mentioned above. What you need to do is to delete those broken icons and reboot the phone. Hopefully this will work for you ....

If for some reason it is not able to resolve your issue, suggest Factory Data Reset phone which will delete phone data completely (SD Card not affected), remember to backup.

Goto Settings>Privacy>Factory data reset.

i have same problem again.

the problem isnt comming from the sd card. because i can load music from it, even applications run smoothly.

when im scrolling trough the thumbnails, sometimes i can the the image i took, but when i select an image or open the folder, all i see i the broken icon.

even when i connect my arc s trough usb port, and i try to open the photos, the files are corrupted.

i have no issues taking/playing videos with my phone.

is this a common issue in arc s?

I don't think it is normal ....

To narrow down the possibility, are you able to test with another SD Card and monitor for a couple of days (at least you can confirm nothing wrong with SD Card).

The other suggestion is to software repair phone, by the way, did the Factory Data Reset resolved your issue previously?

i can try another sd card, but i need to format it before. what is the filesystem for xperia fat32 or ntfs?

when i noticed the problem this morning, i connected my phone to my laptop and updated the software, but it didnt helped.

yes last time the factory reset solved 'temporarly' the problem until today.

Yes, format it to FAT32. Since Factory Data Reset and Software Repair are not able to resolve this issue, that means it is not a software issue. Let's hope it is the SD Card problem ....
