Hi Cathy, welcome to the forum.

First of all, the spam - thats handled by yahoo themselves. If your phone is showing spam

in your inbox, then that spam is in your yahoo inbox. All you have on your phone is an email

client - it has no built-in spam protection, and it doesn't matter which email service you connect

to.

Neither does the official yahoo app - its just a fancy email client for yahoo

I had the yahoo mail client on for a while, but since i rarely get any emails in that account,

i deleted it after a couple of months, but I never had the issues you did.

i would try again, and if it happens again, contact yahoo directly - it may be a bug in their code.

I am relatively new to my xperia arc and it all started out great... I have two yahoo email accounts and had the yahoo app but then I started getting unwanted notification ringtones (not the ones I set up for my accounts) then it went to no ringtones, then no notifications! So I reset everything, uninstalled the yahoo app and started again from scratch. It's now working on the android email but I have the following problems:

- Any mail I send from my phone doesn't get stored as as sent mail (so I don't see it when I access my account from my laptop)

- the spam doesn't get separated.

I think I need to re-install the yahoo app to overcome these limitations but am scared it will screw everyting up again. Can anyone offer any advice specifically about the yahoo app on android and/or fixing the issues with android mail?

Thanks

Cathyh
