Xperia Arc Battery Problem

I bought my Xperia about 4 months ago, the battery had been working fine, until recently, when the widget shows about 20-ish % remaining and suddenly gives a notification that only 1% battery remains, and the phone shuts off. Any ideas to help me with this? Is the widget faulty or is it some problem with my battery?

well i had the same problem with my nokia n-95 they replaced the battery but still i faced the problem..

what you can do is this..

repair your phone using this..

http://dl-www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1309763183/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.7.13.exe

this will delete all the phone data so backup all you files before doing so..

f the above doesn't helps..

take it to the service centre nearby and get it checked..

they will do the same as suggested above so you can tell them that you already did the software update but still problem remains..

they will see if they give you a new battery or tell you if theres any other fault..

dont buy the battery..

i'm sure they must have idle batteries.so you can ask them to let you check the batery for 2-3 days and see if problem remains or not..

Well I took the battery out of my phone for about 10-ish minutes, put it back in and it worked like a charm. Now my battery lasts for like a day and a half! I have no clue how that happened, thanks for your response though.
