I recently bought SE xperia neo and i ran in to a problem with file transfering from pc to the phone. if it takes longer than 30 seconds, the phone disconnects from pc and after few seconds reconnects, canceling all the transfers. I get this error 'cannot copy [filename] The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected' This is very annoying and I can't find a solution.

I'm using latest available software and tried both media and mass storage mode. I have also formated SD card and tried to reset to the factory setting, nothings seems to work 😕

do you move the USB cable while you transfer files? I'm asking because for some reason the cable is not as firm as it should be. so if you are transfering files make sure you don't move the phone or the cable at all, also

go to settings -> sony ericsson -> connectivity -> usb connection mode -> Mass storage mode (MSC) and uncheck Auto connect in MSC

Yes, I agree trying another PC will clarify if the issue is based within the handset or not.
