Pc companion Problem Help

I am unable to install pc companion

i thought it was problem on my windows 7 before

and now i formatted my c drive n put windows 8 developers preview and still having that same problem

check the image i inserted please help me as im using xperia neo and want to use the wifi sync function

Right click on PC companion.exe and select 'run as administrator', then install.If still not installing then download the application to pc from sony product support and install it. If problem persists give details.

tried as admin n downloaded from sony support still same problem what more details to give?

Hi, suggest you check system requirement for PC Companion.

Recommended system requirements:

Internet broadband connection

Intel® Pentium® 4, 3.6 GHz or equivalent AMD processor

500 MB free hard disk space

2 GB RAM

1 available USB 2.0 port and USB cable

Microsoft® Windows XP™ SP2 (32 bit), Vista (32/64 bit) or Windows 7 (32/64 bit)

Did you disable Anti-virus and Firewall during the installation?

Possibly conflict between your PC and PC Companion?! Are you able to try on another PC/Laptop?

yes it works on other pc but before it would it work on mine also

As stated 'A problem caused the program to stop working correctly', guess you have to sort out that problem in Windows 7.

Are you able to restore your PC to factory settings? Definitely better than formatting it yourself, probably missing some steps/drivers during the process.

my bad but it might be that there isn't enought free RAM on his computer, he is probably running a lot of programs in the background and/or there's another issue (as you suggested above)

formatted pc buddy no apps nothing so that may not be the problem

Clearly it is a PC problem. Other than using another PC for PC Companion, can't think of anymore advice for you.

I had some problem in the begening, then I formated and re-installed win7, now it's working fine.There is some conflict with the PC, better consult a local computer expert. Anyway PC companion is not of much use.You can syncronise, update directly from phone if you have WiFi or 3G.
