Android 2.3.4 update for Czech Republic

Hello,

I have an Xperia arc. It was bought in Germany from Deutsche Telekom and I use it with a Czech provider, O2, with a pay-as-you-go SIM card.

I still haven't received the Android 2.3.4 update. Does anyone know if it is provider dependend or if it depends where I bought it from? The previous update 2.3.3 was only marginally delayed, but I feel that this update is quite late.

you can also turn off your phone, remove both SD and SIM cards. then use Update Service to see if the update it's available

Thanks for the great info! Sounds though all a bit too technically demanding for me, so I will just hope to receive the update with a notification via PC Companion. Anyway I don't expect masive improvements from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 and my arc is running relatively stable at the moment.

while you wait for the update, make sure you do backup everything

you'll see that it's quite simple, also try to use Update Service intead of PC Companion, and remove the SD and SIM cards before you do so.
