Xperia play boot issues

When i try to turn my phone on it vibrates then goes to the sony ericsson starting up logo, stays like that for a few minutes then goes to a black screen and back to the starting up logo. It just keeps repeating this until the phone runs out of battery. I have tried turning it on and off, totally draining the battery and recharging, taking out the memory card and sim card then retrying but still the same.

At first i kept recieving a notice saying phone low on memory and then one saying cannot recieve text message, insufficient memory please delete some texts. I deleted all apps/games/videos etc that i previously downloaded to phone storage yet the phone was still low on memory and the error messages repeated.

I have tried connecting the phone - laptop via usb but that wont even work because the phone wont turn on.

can you help me please?

try to use PC Companion or Update Service to repair your phone

if you can't access your phone you won't be able to backup your phone, in other words you will lose all your sms, mms, settings, apps, contacts

i tried this numerous times but unfortunitly came up with the error:

install PC companion and/or Update Service on your computer just to make sure you have all the drivers needed, then re download the firmware (2.3.4)

hi my phone same isse,

i tried to go throgh that service update but now my lappy is not detecting my phone,

also whenever i tried to turn it on, it vibrates but noting come on screen

my pc companion is also not detecting my xperia..

plz suggect what needs to be done

Sorry rohit1828 I just saaw that you have not had a reply yet. Please unplug the phone, make sure its powered off then follow the steps below to run a repair with the phone powered off:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps
