W995 Headphone Jack Problem

Hey guys,

I got a problem with my new W995. If I plug in a headphone at the 3.5mm jack the W995 recognizes the heatphone (little headset symbol appears), however, I don't hear any sound. If I use the same headphone with the adapter on the big port it works just fine.

Can you point me to a solution to that?

Have you tried a different headphone set with the phone at the 3.5mm port?

Have you tried using a different headset to clarify that the headset is compatible with the handset, please remember although it is a 3.5mm jack not all headsets are going to work.

Yes, I tried with two different types of headset, both the ones delivered with the phone and a set of WESC earplugs as well as a Sennheiser headset.

Anyway they all work with the adapter, just not with the 3.5mm jack.

Is there some setup option that might cause the problem? Some software bug (the firmware should be up to date)?

Any more ideas?

Well, you could try a phone repair with PC companion and failing that a master reset.Otherwise, it's very likely to be a hardware issue and you'll need to send it in to a repair centre.
