Auto Sync and Wifi mulfunctioning

Sometimes, the auto sync actually run even though the Wifi and Auto Sync options are turn off. It happen to my Xperia Mini Pro SK17i.. Anyone else have the same problem? Any suggestion to fix this?

That's odd.

When you go to Accounts & sync menu, the Activate Auto-Sync option should be disabled to stop the auto-sync.

If it is still doing it, then if you want to ensure that your download quota is not being used up, you can disable data.

Go to the settings menu --> Wireless & networks --> Mobile networks --> Data enabled (untick the option). You will need to tick it again if you want to access the internet via the mobile wireless network.

If you want, can you try to perform a software/firmwware repair using PC Companion top see if ot gets rid of your problem.

Connect your phone to the PC via the USB cable

The repair option on PC Companion (Support Zone --> Update --> Repair).

Please backup your phone data and settings before proceeding.

Actually, before performing the firmware repair, can you try to perform a settings/factory reset

Settings Menu --> Privacy --> Settings /Factory reset.

Auto-Sync is off. It only happen on wifi, my data plan is rarely on.
