Update server down?

Hey.

I hahve been trying to update my xperia pro for a couple of days now. However, each time Iget to step two, the updater tells me that the Sony Ericsson server is too busy right now and asks me to please try again later. I doubt this is the case at 11:30 pm and 08:45 am, so I wondered if there might be something else wrong?

Not sure which method you are using and whether you have tried using the SE update service.

Download, install and launch the update service on the PC. Follow the onscreen prompts.

Please backup your phone data and settings before proceeding.

Another method is using PC Companion

Connect your phone to the PC via the USB cable

The update option on PC Companion (Support Zone --> Update).

You also can try to update from the phone itself it the update is available over the air (OTA)

Go to the settings menu ---> About Phone --> Software Update --> Accept

Sorry, I forgot to let you know which method I am using, which is the PC Companion. I cannot updated this with the phone itself because I need to update my Android system.

Try the SE update service I mentioned in my first reply to see if it helps.

Quite often if PCC does not work, the SE US is able to update the phone.

If the SE US also fails, it could be that the update server could be down/overloaded at the moment.

Then try later.
