20 seconds is certainly too long. Of course I hear many different concerns about many different products, but I can't say the speed of the Xperia arc is one of those concerns.

You're sure they have the latest software updates? How many applications are downloaded? I assume it worked alright for a time, so we need to isolate what happened.

I've owned 2 arc's and the same problem arises , the phone always hangs when bringing up any conversation, well actually when you try to do anything. Before this problem came it was perfect except for a faulty speaker, and i recommended it to 2 co-workers and now they are having the same problems , not sure if there is a fix or all these units ready for the trash? was'nt sure if others are findig this, for me to bring up a text it sometimes takes 20 seconds to load . not sure what to do but being in my business i need a phone i can count on.

I have the same delay issue with my Xperia Arc. Even Samsung Galaxy Spica is works smoother than mine.

I hope next OS Upgrade will fix this issue.

The phones are fully updated with the latest software, I don't have many applications installed (8).

I've even deleted the ones i don't use and closed the others under running services, always the same result , this is my second phone to do this and the second one which has lost the primary speaker.
