@ Phy, will do. Thanks

@ alexdon. You are totally right. 8GB total and after the update 4.94GB in use. I expected something like that. But Pc Compagnion gives 4GB total with 2.7GB in use. That is what I find strange.

Maybe the link provided will give some answers. But i have to explore it as of yet.

My new sim has to arrive yet So haven't looked into it for now.

Strange, PC Companion gives just 4GB of storage. The phone itself gives the correct 8GB. Anyone with the same experience?

Looked in to it, thank you.

But it's not the problem ( is it really? ) that i'm having.

It's just the other way around. PC Compagnion sees 4GB, bur there is actually 8GB. It's just strange that the PC program is'nt right in terms of storage.

You don't have the 8 GB available, from those, the OS will take it's part (6.0 is a heavy update). In the end, you have about 5 GB. Check this:

/t5/Xperia-M4-Aqua/The-8GB-model-storage-only-has-only-1-5-GB-free/m-p/998186#M112

Keep us updated. Its not that difficult to understand, unfortunately M4 has less internal memory to use for applications.
