GPS apps not working correctly

My Sony Xperia z3 compact has started to play up the last two weeks. Google maps no longer works correctly with tracking my location and voice commands.
I've reset the app, network. And finally completely reset my phone. I'm guessing it's a software issue and if I can resolve quickly I'm tempted to go and buy a Samsung phone. Does anyone know how to help?

Did you try to run xperia diagnostics on settings?

Since you already perform software repair, this might be a hardware problem.
