Predictive typing not working

In the past whenever I typed a sentence once, subsequently the android system would correctly suggest the words one after the other whenever I was typing the same sentence again and I would just press on them and they would go into the sentence. This now has stopped but does someone know why and how this problem can be fixed?

I have the Lollipop android system.

try to clear keyboard data

settings>3 dots>show system>Xperia keyboard>clear data

then go to language and input>Xperia keyboard>personalisation guide

make sure word suggestions is turned on
