Backup when touchscreen is not working

My z1 compact is broken in the touch screen.

I need to back up the notes and tryed using xperia transfer and pc companion. It is not working.

If I can backup sms also it would be greate.

My new phone is z5 compact.

Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear about your phone. However as long as you are able to boot it you should be able to make a backup using Xperia Companion for your Xperia Z1 Compact unless you have a screenlock enabled. If you do have a screenlock I'd suggest getting your hands on an OTG-adapter, this will allow you to connect a computer mouse to your phone and that way unlock it, making a backup possible.

On the attached image you can see an OTG-adapter, connect your phone in one end and a computer mouse in the other, a cursor will appears on-screen allowing you to navigate your phone. My recommended first action would be to remove the screenlock under Settings > Security.

Once you've made a backup in Xperia Companion you will be able to transfer this backup using Xperia Transfer directly on your computer. Let me know how it goes
