      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Iam writing this letter in regarding replacement of Sony xa mobile since I&lt;BR /&gt;bought this product in Oct 10, from trivandrum within 1 month time my set&lt;BR /&gt;is having earphone issue it is not working. Also Che ked with the customer&lt;BR /&gt;service they suggesting for submissions of the set in service center for&lt;BR /&gt;possible repair, I am really passed off since my set would get repaired&lt;BR /&gt;with one months time.further they suggested me to mail so that their is a&lt;BR /&gt;possibility of replacement I am giving you the service center which near to&lt;BR /&gt;my location.&lt;BR /&gt;Need to post a request of replacement of the product. Since I am a Sony&lt;BR /&gt;lover from 1991 I used to buy product of Sony from. Sony mini to xa I&lt;BR /&gt;bought from Sony. This is the first time Iam having issue with Sony. If it&lt;BR /&gt;is not being replaced I might not trust this brand anymore.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please consider this request as urgent.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;S pradesh kumar&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

How and when did you first experience the earphone not working?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are you referring to the earspeaker in your phone? If so, could you test the earspeaker in Diagnostics? You can find this test under Settings &amp;gt; About phone &amp;gt; Diagnostics &amp;gt; Test &amp;gt; Ear speaker, can you hear the sound when starting the test? If not, is there any change if you reboot your phone to&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/c-sonymobile/safe+mode/pd-p/safe_mode" class="lia-product-mention" data-product="187-1"&gt;safe mode&lt;/A&gt;?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the above doesn't help with sorting this out I would recommend that you perform a&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/c-sonymobile/software+repair+using+Xperia+Companion/pd-p/software_repair_2" class="lia-product-mention" data-product="190-1"&gt;software repair using Xperia Companion&lt;/A&gt;. Do note that this will reset your phone and you should make a backup before attempting this. I would, however, suggest that you test the ear speaker before restoring any data.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Should the software repair not help I would advise that you have your phone sent in to be examined by an authorized service centre. For information on local service and warranty procedures I recommend that you contact your local support team as these procedures can vary between markets.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Let me know how it goes!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
