Sony Xperia z5 won't charge temporary fix solution

Hi all I have a z5 which decided to be fussy and won't let me charge it using all my regular wall chargers. Before I send it to Sony for repair I am charging it using my Panasonic hifi system which has an ipad USB port on it. This charges the phone everytime! Mine is model sc-hc38db. Just thought it might help those of you who desperately need to charge your phone or need to retrieve your stuff from it. Sony support have no solutions for me, mine won't connect to pc and safe mode restart won't work either. I will be sending mine off shortly but for now this solution is making do.

I have the same issue. Doing a 2 min hard reset did help but next day refusing to charge again. My Panasonic hifi has a ipad USB port and it will only charge via that port nothing else. It says 2.1a maximum so higher than a usual Sony 1.5a. I just purchased the Sony fast charger and that won't charge it either. Got a feeling Sony won't help me either but send off for repair next.

Are you using Sony's original cable? if you are using a different brand, are you using a micro USB data cable or micro USB charging cable ?

I'm using genuine cables and non but all high quality it will not charge via micro USB with anything except the hifi. Am yet to try anything else like magnetic or wireless charging. Can't believe these Sony phones have so many issues with charging etc its unreal!!
