I just purchased a Z5, and it keeps rebooting. The screen freezes, and after a couple of seconds it shuts down. The LED light flashes red three times, and then it reboots. After the reboot I can use it again for a while - it doesn't get stuck in an endless boot cycle. Not yet anyway.

I had the same problem (but sometimes even worse) on the Z3+ I was going to replace with the Z5. If this is how Sony phones work, I'll never get another one.

It also gets hot, much like the Z3+ used to get.

Is there a fix available?

Do you experience the same without the SIM and SD cards?

Hard to tell, since I don't know what caused the bug in the first place. It happened tons of times, but I have not figured out what causes it to happen. So now I don't know if removing the SIM card and SD card has fixed it, or if I'm just lucky so far.

It still gets hot though.

Also, if the SIM card and/or SD card was faulty, why wouldn't the phone show an error message instead of just shutting down?

While the SIM Card and SD card were removed, I decided to reformat the SD card. I then inserted them back into the tray, and not ten minutes later the phone started acting up again.

Is one or both of the cards faulty? Is the card tray thingy not properly fastened? What should I do?

Tried without the SIM yesterday, encountered the bug about seven times within an hour or so.

I just used the Xperia Companion to repair the phone, and the bug happened again not five minutes after the phone being repaired.

What do I do now?
